As I previously stated, I am a cosmetology student, and we’ve done a lot of different things in class, and I’m just going to show a couple of the different hairstyles I’ve done since September .
This is a simple updo that I did earlier on in the year. We put the hair up in a ponytail and set it into rollers, combed it out using pin curl and barrel curl techniques.
This is a more recent style that I did. The back is a teased French Twist, and the top was freestyle. I had no idea what I was doing with the top but ended liking how it turned out.
We also recently did a perm, my first ever, and this is how it turned out. I really liked it. The hair still felt natural and it didn’t look like it’d just been chemically treated.
Spiral Curls 💕 I loved doing these, we did them using a Marcel Curling Iron, it was pretty tricky at first, but it’s a really good iron.

I’ll post more of these as time goes on (:

The perm came out so great! How long do perms normally last and can you get one that’s more waves vs tight curls?

Thanks! If it was applied correctly and if it was taken care of properly afterwards, the perm should last until your new growth comes in. You totally can! It all depends on the size of the rods used. You can use bender rods for longer hair and to also get a more spiral finish.

Loving the new blog ^_^ I wanted to ask, I have very thin, frizzy, curly and medium length hair. Which hairstyle would suit me best? 😦

Thank You! I think I’d say braids would look really nice on you, like a messy fishtail braid to the side, or a dutch braid, because you have the curls already, it’ll add texture to your hair making the braid look a lot nicer then if it was just on straight hair. Also you could try low or side ponytail, but tease the crown a bit to give it more volume and texture, but leave a few strands of hair to frame your face, that way it looks more messy and cute. Lasly, I think buns would look nice too, but the key is to let it look messy, don’t try to smooth it out, and leave some hair to frame your face again (:
Hope this helped! xx

so for the perm did you really use the solution? I wasn’t allow to use the real thing and had too simulate it all the time. Annoying process if you ask me… We had to make sure we kept the heads nice and also all the new stuff in our bags were switched for hammy downs from the years prior..
I’d like to see more of your cosmetology stuff. I think I got cheated in school as I was more passive and quiet and felt very intimidated… I like your blog though.. It’s awesome…

Aw thank you!
Yes we used the real solution, we each got a box and we followed the instructions. We did the processing, the neutralizing, all of it. We used the stuff we got too, our own rods ect… I’ll definitely keep posting more stuff from class for the rest of the year, as well as next year (:
